The PD U2 form entitles you to live in another EU/EEA country or Switzerland while still receiving a Dutch unemployment benefit for a period of up to 3 months. You must meet certain criteria to do this.

To apply for a PD U2 form, complete the PD U2 application form (‘Aanvragen formulier PD U2’). Once you receive the PD U2 form, use it to register with the relevant benefit organisation in your new EU/EEA country or Switzerland within 7 days of leaving the Netherlands.

If you want to look for work in the Netherlands and have received a PD U2 form from the benefit organisation in the country you are currently staying in, you must register as a jobseeker with UWV within 1 week of receiving it. Please call us to make an appointment at an UWV office for your registration.  

It will take at least 1 week for you to receive the PD U2 form.
