If you start doing paid work, or change the number of hours you work, this will affect your benefit level. We might not be able to determine immediately what your exact benefit level should be based on your new earnings. If this is the case, we will establish a provisional benefit payment with you.
If you prefer, you can authorise someone else to work out the details of the provisional benefit with us. Your authorised person can decide about the amount you will receive and about repayment if we have paid you too much.
We will call you to discuss your provisional benefit payment, and during the call you can let us know if you would like to authorise someone. We will then send you a letter asking you to complete the Authorisation form for making benefit arrangements (‘Machtiging afspraken maken over uw uitkering’). You will need either a DigiD account or a valid European electronic ID (‘Europees erkend inlogmiddel’) to access this online form.
After you have received our letter, complete the form, sign it and return it to us within 2 weeks.
- Log in with your DigiD account or European electronic ID.
- Print the form and fill it in.
- Sign the form and make sure the person you want to authorise also signs it.
- Scan the signed form and save it on your device.
- Log back in with your DigiD account or European electronic ID to upload and submit the signed form.
If you no longer want your authorised person to act on your behalf regarding the provisional benefit payment, you can remove their authorisation. Or, if you would prefer to have someone else take over your provisional benefit payment arrangements, you can appoint someone new. To make either of these changes, send a letter to the UWV office that is responsible for issuing your benefit and specify you want to change or remove an authorisation.
